Missing Rabbit & Lamb Blanket

Anyone have any idea's. On Thursday 10/30 I visited Giant Eagle in Altoona. My husband laid my 23 month olds blankets on a cart to try and calm her down. Needless to say he forgot to grab them before we shopped. Within 20 minutes they were gone, but nobody turned them in to CS. My daughter is heartbroken, and they no longer make these anymore. I tried replacements, but nothing works. These were her best friends, she depended on them. Now she's associating me leaving as I'm going to disappear too. I'm hoping someone reading this knows someone who might of picked them up. Please I'm begging, they are about 12-14 inches long. The rabbit is pink, and the lamb is yellow. They both have the heads of the animal on them w/little silk paws at the top and little silk feet at the bottom. I am sick over the thought of never seeing them again, no child should ever suffer the loss of a definite security blanket at such a young age. Your help is needed. Thanks. Please post any leads.

I wish you luck and hope that you have found one similar that she likes. Did you try Ebay? You can find anything if you search for it on there. We had our favorite blankies and "friends" that my children sleep with every night. My younger daughter's friend was "Puffy", he was left in a pile of leaves in the woods and I remember my husband leaving the house with only a flashlight and my words of encouragement, "don't come home without Puffy". After an hours long search, he came home with him, albeit a little dirty and cold (both Puffy and my husband). Puffy is lying next to my 8 year old in bed as I write this.

There was actually an article written about a year ago in Parenting. A father went through*****and high water to replace the lovie. As soon as I read the article (which was a very cute humor piece), I went out and bought a second identical lovie for my 3 year old.

I wish you luck!

That's always traumatic when a child's favorite blanket gets lost! My daughter has a monkey blanket that sounds a lot like the same kind as your daughter's blankets -- and I got hers online on a site called plushfriends dot com (cliek on the section that's for baby, then on blankets). Maybe they have a blanket just like hers that you could replace it with -- my daughter's blankie is made by Gund and maybe you could also check with the company or look on eBay, since they often sell items that aren't manufactured anymore. Good luck!!!
