Here's what some local moms are reporting:

Katie Guise of Hollidaysburg says her 8-year-old son is dreaming of a "drum kit so he can practice being a rock star." Maybe add some ear plugs for mama to the list?

And Janice Hartkorn of Hollidaysburg says her 6 -year-old daughter is asking for Monster High dolls and a Pink Panther blanket. Janice says Santa will have to remember to make sure the Monster High dolls "have pants on or longer skirts." Her 4 -year-old "isn't asking for anything yet."

Some area Moms, like Jen Cole of Altoona, just aren't at that point right now. "Honestly," she says, we're "nowhere thinking about Christmas yet."

Katie Brouse of Altoona's 7-year-old daughter is "super into Disney Descendants - that's at the top of her list." And her little guy (5) is super-hero obsessed, Spider Man and Batman especially."

Batman is a big item for Paula DeLattre's little guy, age 5, too. "All he wants is a Bat Cave." They live in Hollidaysburg.

According to their mom Lori, Lauren, 6, and Alexis, 5, Barger of Hollidaysburg are "talking about American Girl dolls, art supplies, and books."

And Jes Shaw from Hollidaysburg says her kids, a boy, 5, and a girl, 10, haven't said too much yet,but she's heard them talking about Shopkins.

Jen Clapper of Hollidaysburg says her girls, ages 8 and 9, like Shopkins too." While her son Jake (11) is into nerf guns. Beyond that her older children have "clothes and sporting equipment" on their list.

Tina Cunningham of Altoona says her daughter (11) wants" cosplay items and manga. She is also "asking for anything to do with anime and plushies, and the Friends POP figures."

Carin Sloan of Hollidaysburg says her boys (7 and 11) are into Snap Circuits.
