| | New Year's Eve Party PlanningDecember 30, 2012 - Kristy MacKabenAs a super festive mom, sometimes I overthink holidays and get a little carried away. Even when it's just our little family, I think of crazy ways to celebrate. Decorations, games, food---all to match the theme. These days, Pinterest has really helped with my party planning. Sometimes, however, kids can put things in perspective and bring us back to reality. Simple things make kids happy, and really all they want is to spend time with us. I found a special party plan Julie created for New Year's Eve. Here it is: 1. Wake up happy on New Year's Eve Day. 2. Jump on the bed. 3. Tickle Daddy. 4. Wake up Meme. 5. Play the "spinning game". (This is a game where Scott literally spins the kids around the room.) 6. Cophetty (also known as "confetti") 7. Make popsicles. 8. Dance. 9. Stay up until really late. 10. Have fun. That's all pretty do-able. I think I will throw away my own list I created in my head, and just go with Julie's. Have a great New Year's Eve everyone!
