My kids are apparently incapable of creating normal Christmas wish lists. No Barbies or toy trains for them. Instead, here is what they have requested so far: Johnny: a bounce house to put in the basement, curtains and the Chicago "Bean" (Yes. "The" Bean-the famous mirrored sculpture in downtown Chicago.) Julie: "real" glasses, even though she has perfectly normal eyesight, a recliner "like Daddy's" and a baby sister
I'm not quite sure where they get these off-the-wall ideas, but they have never concocted real Christmas wish lists. Most kids grab the toy catalogs and circle to their heart's content. Our kids never seem to know what exactly they want other than "presents." I guess that can either mean they're happy with whatever they receive, or that they are too darn spoiled to desire anything specific. Either way, I'm pretty certain Santa won't be checking off any items on those lists.
