In case your calendar needs to implode even further, here are some ideas for holiday related events in and around the area.

Today, 11/20/2012: Winterfest In Morrison's Cove: Family Activities starting at 9:00 a.m. There is a run for adults, a kids walk, soup sampling, crafts for kids, a holiday bazaar, stories with Mrs.Claus, and a parade with lots of local area bands, horses and carriages, and of course, the man with the bag! During the season: Don't forget the train and Santa at the Logan Valley Mall. It's a perfect little excursion for the you gets of your children. Eve especially enjoys the part where the train travels through the giant Christmas tree.

Also during the season, check out holiday lights on the lake at Lakemont Park. Bundle your family into the car and set off to enjoy the dazzling display as the park is transformed into a holiday wonderland. Don't forget to say hello to Santa in his shop at the end!

Friday, 11/23/2012:5:00 pm. Bundle up and head for the Diamond in Hollidaysburg for Winterfest Lightup Night. Enjoy a petting zoo, soup sampling, caroling, tree lighting, Santa, and fireworks too!

For a bit of an adventure, head to the Rock Hill Trolley Museum for their PolarBearExpress Train ride. Looks like fun! Check out the details here http://www.rockhilltrolley.org/node/1268

On Thursday, 11/29/2012 You can catch Altoona's parade, tree-lighting, and fireworks display too.

For a weekend of events, enjoy Ebensburg's Dickens of a Christmas. The town will feature Christmas goings-on all weekend long, including Victorian-themes teas, caroling, Christmas parade, carriage rides and crafts and activities for the kids. For more information:http://www.ebensburgdickens.com/

Saturday 12/16/2011: Don't forget the mirror moms wonderland tea! Take a look at the details by going to the Altoona Mirro's Facebook page and selecting the MirrorMoms page from there. It goes from 1 - 5 pm at the UVA of Blair county. Sure to be good girly fun!
