Fishing for Some Fun?

July 10, 2012 - Jen Zbozny
The Dollar Store has bags of brightly colored, fish-shaped sponges roughly the size of a child's hand. This is part of what has made them so much fun! First, we used them to make a driveway mural by dipping them in our home-made side-walk chalk paint. Even the littlest ones will have fun squishing them in the paint and squeezing them out. Then we used them to decorate our fabulous hand-painted table-cloth. Such a picture of outside fun to see children running under a cloth blown by the (rare) breezes outside on the clothesline. And the table-cloth will be a beautiful reminder of summer fun in the cold days of winter! Wait, there's more. After we rinsed the paint off the little fish sponges, they made excellent pool toys. I don't know about you but it's hard to beat that much fun for a dollar's worth of fish! Check out the pictures below and enjoy the beautiful day!
