Supplies: Clothesline (hanging at regular clothes-drying height). Make sure it's easily visible so no-one gets "clotheslined" by it!
Clothes pins
Kids finger paint
Squirt bottles
Old white sheet
What to Do: Hang the sheet on the line.
Make a mixture of 1/3 finger paint and 2/3 water for each paint color you wish to use.
Fill the squirt bottles with the paint and replace the lids on the bottles.
Hand the squirt bottles to your kids and let them make a lovely hanging masterpiece!
They'll also have fun just running through the sheet on the line. And if they end up needing to have the paint hosed off of them, the more the better. It's a great way to create AND keep cool. You can also use the same process on t-shirts or if you're really inspired, get some plain-colored cloth placemats. Have your kids spray them with colors and use them as Christmas gifts. It will be a delightful reminder of your summer fun together. I have a zillion clothesline inspirations. Care to share some of yours?
