| | Hello Out There!June 13, 2012 - Jen ZboznyDear Tomorrow Me, Tomorrow you meet a new audience. It’s exciting but a little bit daunting. Let's hope in the first place that: a) I don't forget to press send when I finish. b) I didn't somehow accidentally write this in a dead foreign language like Latin. c) The jelly on my keyboard didn't stick all the letters together and this comes out like computer code instead of a letter to my new audience. Who will this audience be? Internet shoppers actually looking for a mirror for your mom? Um... oops. Kristy Mackaben’s fans, looking for her delightful insights and encouragement? I'm honored to step into such fine shoes. Speaking of shoes, Kristy will probably be having a great time shopping for shoes in her new home, Chicago. There are probably some pretty cool mirrors there too, for those of you I mentioned above. When I hear from Kristy, I'll ask. Sleepy moms quietly stealing a little bit of peace, coffee in hand? I'll whisper this to you. Enjoy your sacred moment. I'll be very quiet. I hope this moment happens again soon. When it does, come see me here. I promise you some fun and I'll try to keep my sticky grape jelly off your keyboard. Super energized moms who have been awake for hours, exercising and making lunches, keeping up on everything flawlessly? Wow! Care to share your secrets? Do YOU ever make a mistake like my mom did once and put three sandwiches in my brother's lunchbox, three apples in mine, and three cupcakes in my other brother's? It was like a real live slot machine that day. Three cupcakes won the trifecta! Curious wanderers on the internet, stumbling upon this and stopping to read? Hooray! This is your own virtual message in a bottle! Mystery and intrigue right this way. Possibly some crock pot recipes too. Harried moms trying to do ten-thousand things at the same time? Reading while trying to keep your own jelly off the keyboard? Ahh! A kindred spirit! I hope it's yummy jelly and you licked the spoon right out of the jar. I won't tell. Kind friends and family offering me virtual support and checking up on me? I knew I should have written under my pseudonym, Tricksy Pirate Girl! And thanks Dad, I remember the day you taught me to spell. Look how far I've come! My daughter someday? Hey Little Bird, dream a dream and find a way. Your future, like mine, is happening all the time. Work hard to achieve, have some fun, and remember: spelling counts. To me I say, "When you moved out here you didn't know where to go or what to do out as a new mom. This is your chance to provide helpful information for other moms and families (new and and veterans) and maybe a few laughs along the way." I also say, "Hey, sticky fingers, press send!" Gleefully, Today Me
