| | Saying sorryJanuary 17, 2012 - Kristy MacKabenThere was just something so patheticly cute about the way Julie tearfully explained to me how she got in trouble at school the other day. "Mommy I have something to tell you," Julie whispered as she got off the bus. The tidbit of information was that Julie earned a yellow straight face at school. (Every day the students come home with a green smiley face, yellow straight face or red frownie face.) This was the second time this year for the yellow face, but from the teacher's explanation it was a relatively minor infraction. During seatwork, Julie and another child had colored, instead of completed a worksheet. So, Scott and I decided the repercussion should be to write a sorry note to her teacher. Without complaint, Julie drew a beautiful picture on one side of the paper, and wrote (without any help) a sorry letter to her teacher. This is exactly how it was written: "I am sareree for not flooling direcshins. Love, Julie" I just thought it was the cutest note ever, even if she was repenting for a wrongdoing. Don't you just love kid writing? Do any of you have funny or cute little writings or notes your kids have written? Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
