![]() Black, White and Read All OverSunday, SundayVacation week is over, and although I was frustrated at the beginning with the lack of progress on my to-do list, I'm actually quite happy now looking back. My week was book-ended with travel for Chris -- to and from New Jersey last weekend to bring him back from his internship, and then to and from State College today to get him moved into his apartment. I was quite proud of myself -- no tears today when it was time to leave. I always have shed a few/a bucket when I've left the boys somewhere, so today was a major milestone. I actually called him on my way back to see if he noticed. He had. :) In between, I made major progress on several tasks that I've wanted to accomplish in the almost three years of living in this house. I got some beautiful landscaping done in front of my house and new porch lights installed, and inside I ripped up an ugly old carpet runner on the steps leading to the basement and glued down new pieces. It looks so much better. I had too long of a list, but that's OK. There's always more to do than there is time. I think everyone can relate to that. This afternoon I decided to treat myself to some relaxing downtime with the paper and some music -- the perfect way to segue into the busy week ahead with both work and my class at the campus starting.
