Black, White and Read All Over

Lessons come to life

Foot of Ten Elementary School students are getting a great opportunity this week to supplement their science education aboard the Mobile Agriculture Education Science Lab. Amanda Clegg and Patrick Waksmunski went to the school yesterday and have a great story and photo package on A1 today. I don't remember a lot of hands-on learning back in the olden days when I was in school. I think opportunities to reinforce lessons today are amazing.

Hollidaysburg Borough may be getting a new library, after years of being in a small building. Kristy MacKaben has the details in a story on A3 today. The plans for the new building, if approved, sound very appealing with a computer lab, reading areas and a bright area for children.

The colder weather is making me think about putting the fall decorations away and bringing out the holiday ones. The Kopp Drug ad on A12 lists some sales on holiday decorations if you're in the market to freshen up your decor.
